List the Top 5 Things You Didn't Know About Me!
- I ran my first Marathon at 11 years old. Winnipeg Marathon. I ran My second Marathon at 12. I and other pre-pubescent kids were banned from running in the Marathon after that until we turned 16. I never ran another Marathon.
- When I was 18, I had 8% bodyfat. When I turned 30, I was technically obese. Ten years later I am somewhere inbetween.
- I played baritone saxophone in a jazz band at 13 years old. I had no idea what I was doing. They gave me the key and I played random notes to the tempo. Occasionally, the guy playing piano would say "Nice, Dave", and I'd blush.
- I went through the windshield of the car I was driving (and crashing) when I was 16 resulting in two stiches on the corner of my left eye. A week later I got checked playing hockey resulting in a broken nose, a compound fracture, an eye swollen shut, a severe concusion, and 8 stiches.
- I've eaten snake (Hoi An), lamb testicles (Ottawa), camel (Marrakech), blood sausage (London), haggis (Toronto), tripe (Porto), calf brains (Munich), raw chicken (Tokyo), fish heads and fish eyes (Singapore), and cod tongues (St. John's), but spiders still freak me out. Seriously.
